Launched in 1977, NASA's twin Voyager space probes are depicted here in a full-scale model. Voyager 1 studied Jupiter and Saturn and is now travelling out of the solar system. Voyager 2 studied these planets, as well as Uranus and Neptune. The shiny gold disk on the body of Voyager is a record called "Sounds of Earth," bearing messages and pictures from our planet.
